Have questions about teaching?

Confused about how some of the online tools work? Need tips on best practices? Want to share ideas with other instructors? Faculty Evaluation & Coaching staff host regular workshops, where you have a chance to talk with your colleagues and get answers to your teaching questions.

Unless otherwise noted, all workshops will be held online. See details on how to participate.
Workshops are FREE, but space is limited.

  • Online Tools for your Onsite Class, part 2 (for Onsite Instructors)
    • Wednesday, February 28, 10 - 11: 30 a.m.
      NOTE: This workshop will be held in 180 New Montgomery, Room 405
    • Thursday, March 1, 4 - 5 p.m.
Gradebook Clinic (gradebook pilot participants only) – Monday, March 5, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Get some one-on-one support to make sure your class is set up properly for submitting progress grades with the new gradebook.
Here's how to attend:
  • Drop into our online meeting room
  • Or stop by, if you're on campus:
    • Faculty Evaluation & Coaching Office (79 New Montgomery, Room 208) OR
    • Online Education Department (150 Hayes, 3rd Floor)

  • Progress Grades Q&A (gradebook pilot participants only)

      • Tuesday, March 6, 12 noon - 1 p.m.
      • Wednesday, March 7, 10 - 11:30 a.m.
        NOTE: This workshop will be held in 180 New Montgomery, Room 405
      • Thursday, March 8, 4 - 5 p.m.

How to Participate in an Online Workshop

  • You will need a web browser and a telephone.

  • In addition, we would like to use video conferencing for as many people as possible. So if you have a webcam, we hope you will consider participating via video. (WARNING: Yes, this means that you will be on camera!) :)

  • Please log in 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the session, so we can address any technical issues — and so the meeting can begin on time. Thank you for your consideration!

  • You’ll find information about the teleconference inside the meeting site.

  • If you will be connecting to the online meeting from outside the US and need a local phone number to call, please contact Maya Frenklachin advance, so she can make the necessary arrangements.
