Confused about how some of the online tools work? Need tips on best practices? Want to share ideas with other instructors? Faculty Evaluation & Coaching staff host regular workshops, where you have a chance to talk with your colleagues and get answers to your teaching questions.

Unless otherwise noted, all workshops will be held online. See details on how to participate.

How to Participate in an Online Workshop

You will need a web browser and a telephone.

In addition, we would like to use video conferencing for as many people as possible. So if you have a webcam, we hope you will consider participating via video. (WARNING: Yes, this means that you will be on camera!) :)

To enter the session, go to https://live4.academyart.edu/teachertrainingoffice/ and log in as a guest.

Please log in 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the session, so we can address any technical issues — and so the meeting can begin on time. Thank you for your consideration!

You’ll find information about the teleconference inside the meeting site.

If you will be connecting to the online meeting from outside the US and need a local phone number to call, please contact Maya Frenklach in advance, so she can make the necessary arrangements.

Adobe Connect Troubleshooting:

We suggest using Chrome, Firefox, or Explorer as your browser with Adobe Connect.

If you are experiencing Flash Player restrictions with Chrome, you can allow access via the lock icon to the left of the address bar. Additionally, you can run the browser based Adobe Connect Diagnostic Test: https://live4.academyart.edu/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm#Troubleshoot

If you can't get the browser based version of Adobe Connect to work for you or you are on a Mac, we suggest installing the one time, stand-alone Adobe Connect Application.

- To download the application on to your computer go here: https://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/connect-downloads-updates.html.
- Then go to Meeting Applications for Adobe Connect 9.
- Once the application is installed, you will need to open it and copy and paste your meeting room link (https://live4.academyart.edu/teachertrainingoffice/) into the application.
- If prompted, please enter as a guest by typing your FIRST and LAST name into the Guest Name Field and pressing the Enter Meeting button.
